- AGGRASTAT is intended for use with acetylsalicylic acid and heparin.
- AGGRASTAT is for use in the hospital only, prescribed by specialist physicians, such as cardiologists, experienced in the management of acute coronary syndromes.
- AGGRASTAT is given intravenously, at an initial rate of 0.4 µg/kg/min for 30 minutes and then continued at 0.1 µg/kg/min for patients with unstable angina or non–Q-wave MI.
- Patients with severe renal insufficiency (creatinine clearance <30 ml/min) should receive half the usual rate of infusion.
- No dosage adjustment is recommended for elderly patients.
